My Angel

Once I was traversing a narrow pass
Scared and cold and trembling
Then I saw a floating mist
My eyes started gleaming.

The fume enveloped my stature
And within I felt her grace
The angel nurtured my being
My heart begins to race

Before I wanted to end it all
Cuz nobody heard my sighs
But then this dove, this angel came
And took away my need to die

What did I do to deserve this?
To deserve this life anew
The doubt faded with her companionship
As the sands of time passed through

There were quakes and there were winds
But we managed to escape stronger
Gloom and grace came and went
Everything with her I can conquer

But then, mistakes were made
Till one morning she is gone
I was helpless to stop my love
With one blink, it’s all done

I wish I had been better
I wish I did not slack
Regrets, fears and tremblings peered
All the anxiety came looming back

I thought I met my saving angel
But she left and flew away
I guess it's fine for all I know
I never deserved her anyway
