Magnetic Laminating Cartridge

Tough day at work..

These two ladies were asking for some magnetic laminating cartridge. Not knowing where it would be, I asked on the walkie if any team members know where it could be. Phillip said we dont carry any more laminating things and the two ladies hear this and they started going off on me. "That's not possible, the magnetic thing was sold in this store!," said one lady. Me, being as easily intimidated, tried my best to figure out what they were lookin for so I asked for help in the electronics department. At this time, one of the ladies said it wasn't an electonic thing but rather a hand-operated device. She also mentioned that it is used very often in scrapbooking. I kinda remembered seeing some scrapbooking things by the picture frames section so I led them over there. There was none....

I asked Sarah and she said the scrabbooking stuff are in the Stationery department. C's... my zone. I was wrong.

I feel stupid. i hate being wrong.

I went back to the scrapbooking aisle (which I can't believe I forgot) and tried to look for the cartridge. No success. The two ladies came and kept asking and I told them that's all we've got and we don't have the thing they were lookin for. She even started to ask if a person who actually knows the area is available. Too bad I was alone in the blue side at that exact moment for the other ppl are either on break or are doing their pulls. One of them was like, "That's pretty odd that you don't carry them anymore.. I bought the machine not even a YEAR ago..."

Well, I've seen things go out of stock within a week. I would be not surprised at all that the thing, which according to her was "popular among scrapbookers," is not being carried anymore by the store. After all, we are "Target" and not "Scrapbook Depot."

I just shut up and watch them walk away. I kinda felt bad misleading them to the other side of the store but I didn't like how the lady somewhat blamed me on why we don't carry the laminating magnet shooshoo.

So I resumed my zoning.. After around ten minutes, I got a call for stationeries. The lady was asking for the exact magnetic laminating cartridge! I think they are hoping to get to talk to a different guy but coincidentally, I was alone in the department so they are out of luck. Besides, even if they didn't get to talk to me, that won't change the fact that we don't carry the item. I was just a lil pissed for some reason.

So there, I carried on. I did what I was supposed to do. I tried to finish my section but Ryan was rushing us so I kinda rushed zoning the pen/pencil aisle. When Ryan walked the C's he called me back to redo the pen aisle! I feel bad. All along, I was thinking I would never be asked to redo my perfect zone. felt kinda embarrassed because he even said I "did a VERY bad job in doing the pen aisle." It wasn't my character to do mediocre zoning and this brings me to my dilemma...

I realized that ever since I worked at Target, I am usually alsways the last to finish my zone. I feel like I am holding up the whole team. I tried to be fast but I am rather, kinda more meticulous. I don't let foreigns hidden in the shelves pass thru. I replace misplaced things even if they are sitting comfortably on the shelves. I pulled everything on pegs. Tonight, Since they were rushing us, I settled on what is "good enough" on normal days. Bad timing for that, I guess. Ryan was PMS'ing.

Actually, Ryan (who is the LOD - Leader on Duty) asked to redo ALOT of other done zones. Tim (another team leader) and Barbara Started to talk back on the walkie because Ryan was asking everyone to go back to the zones that were just declared done! There was tension for those few minutes. They were pretty feisty comebacks and I was just thinking that the LOD cannot fire anyone.

This attitude led me and Myrna to think that probably, a big boss will arrive the next morning to check the store. But for me, this is another "proof" in my head that Ryan, the boss, doesnt like me. This actually started yesterday because of how he talked to me and ordered me to do things. Usually, other team leaders like Kim and Paul are nice enough to ask but he seemed to be going thru some Midlife Crisis of some sort.

Bad

There are days that I just feel like I want to die. This is one of them. This morning, I was tag-teamed by my family with nagging, gatong and such things. What made me go off is when my parents scolded me because my sister ate my lunch. How nice.

Then, work. It ended 1:30AM and im so freakin tired. when i called katter, i get the answering machine. I am so fuckin annoyed with myself.

Then my mom came in with her classical "go to bed" nagging as iff I will kill the whole world if I stay up a couple minutes to finish some email replies.

I wanna die.

I really wish I get hit by a car or truck and die instantly. Or maybe, I get shot in a there is a school/work shooting a la Columbine. A car wreck would be nice too. I wish I am not a wuss to commit suicide.

Flies Like a Butterfly and Stings Like When I Pee

Ok, so the "cool-off" period didn't last too long. Seemed like it wasn't doing any good to both me and Katter so we mutually (with my initiative) decided to end the break... Gaaah.. she's so sweet. I LOVE KATTER!!

Anyway, I just got home from work. I got called again today I was hesitant because it was our 14th monthsary but I thought Katter would understand and I am VERY sure we can celebrate it some other day ;). She is so nice.... and SWEET!! and loving and sooooooooo sweet! I LOVE KATTER!! and yeah, she wrote me a poem.

All The Letters The Sentence Starts With Spells Your Name

My very best friend
Always
Ready to hug away my fears and
Kiss away my doubts.

Very
Irrisistable.
Charm I can't resist.
Thanks to you I'm always happy
Open to a world I can never forget
Really, this is just the beginning.

E.LEPHANT IN A BOX! Teehee! ^^

You're the one I want to spend my days with.
Everything you do
Brightens my life
Remember, I'll love you
Always and forever.

Gaaaahhh so sweet!!! Katter, I love you!!

Hmm what else. I ordered something from Aires (a broken backplate with their cockpit set for the Tamiya P-51D) and I finally got it last monday, I believe. WOOT. I really love Czech companies! They embody excellent and fast service! My salutations to them.

I got assigned to Menswear and Boys today. I didnt finish because I had to leave at eleven so here I cam. Beth (the softlnes team leader)was nice and was thankful. Also, I think cashiering makes me sooo stupid. I had SOOOO many mistakes and stuff I didnt know what to do. Only when I thought I knew everything, I would be humbled by a simple gift registry or non-working-credit-card problems. I think ppl in flowermound has the the following conversation.

Person 1: Hey, do you go to the SuperTarget by FM 2499?

Person 2: Oh yeah! They have this stupid cashier.. Gosh. He is so stupid!

Person 1: You mean Mark? the Asian guy with lots of pimples? Exactly! that's why I started this conversation! He like fumbles with every imaginable cashiering problem.

Person 3: (Enters scene) Hey, do you know that dumb Target cashier guy? He's incredibly infuriating!!

Haaaay.. owell.. I need more practice, as it seems. I don't wanna be a mediocre incompetent Target employee. I will be the best one there is!

Fin

After days of brutal discussion and 1 year and almost 2 months of being together, it has ended. At 8:42, Central time, me and Katter mutually decided to "take a break." It will only last for at least two weeks but from the last conversation we had, it is obvious this two weeks would be tough. The reason for the break are very complex and I choose not to say here. I just hope this decision brings out better times.

It rubs the lotion on its skin or it gets the hose again

Summer school started last Tuesday. Dr. Saxe (State and local government) is cool and I think he would be a fun teacher. Dr Tong (Thermodynamics) is somewhat the opposite. he is boring but I can't blame him much because it's just normal to the typeof subject he teaches, I guess. In Pol Science, we get to participate in the discussions. Today, he talked about Libertarianism (which he believes in) I like some of the ideas but very skeptical if it will ever work. It is about making losing the government control on tings it "shouldnt" be in such as economics and social issues. No school or economic management. Drugs would be legalized and stuff. Now, it's up to the ppl to be reponsible for their freedom. No public healthcare uch as medicare or medicaid. A person can drug himself but when he/she is so sick of it, no government is gonna pick him/her up. No government will save a persons butt who has been irresponsible for his sorry butt. If responsibility is not ingrained in him, it will be to others who doesnt wanna be like him. The main rule will be the survival of the fittest.

There are questions left unanwered for me though that really borders the philosophical. What if a child is born out of a poor family? It is not responsible for it's actions yet but it could suffer just because of the fate it was led to. Yes, we are animals that live and die as others but don't we have responsibility to help others too? Well, I believe libertarians agree here but for them, it is not the government's responsibility. One is ffree to help anyone he/she wants to anyway, in any democratic political structure.

This shook my beliefs and thoughts about running for president in the Philippines.

Anyway, i didn't do much after that. I just went to Walmart, got cash back from my salary and paid ebay thingies. I also got some BB's for nose weights.

Yesterday also, I got called in to work. I said I would IF i can go home by 11. David agreed so i proceed. It was fine but i realize I zone too slow. I think it's with my perfectionist nature that my pace is suffering where it is required. I need to work on that. Amazingly enough, we finished work almost exactly at 11 (5 till)! There was a nasty storm tho but it's good there was no hail damage on my car. Gus and company invited me to eat with them at IHOP but I declined for I wasnt hungry and I didn't want to spend money. I kinda regret it tho and prolly, next tie I would yielf.

Speaking of storm, there was a REALLY NASTY one last Tuesday night. We had a power outage for maybe 45 minutes one hour. It dawned on me how volatile the society is, or at least, I am without the simple things we learn to take for granted. Without electricity, there is no TV, no radio or computer. No light for me to do modelling. There is no telephone as well. Our idea of pastime is so hooked on one source that it's exclusion render the whole system unusable.

I used my cell to call Jan instead.

And Dr Saxe was telling us to get rid of cell phones that same morning.
