Cold Valentine's
I was waken this morning by my mom.
"Mark! Tingnan mo! May snow!!"
I and looked and beheld the white satin that covers everything outside my window. It was so beautiful. So calm and peaceful. I can hear the children playing outiside. the flurries are floating down as if ballerinas wandering on the stage.
I call it the quiet rain.
It's just stupid it happened on a Saturday. I wish it was next Monday or Thursday so I won't have to take my tests... *grumbles* owell. I went on the computer instead to write Katter a lil somth'n somth'n.
Last night, I went to Wingren, The Opus Dei Center in Irving. It was cool place.Kinda similar to Lantaka in the Philippines.
I arrived there around seven. We ate dinner, had a talk about the "Values of Capitalism," fired up the fireplace (which, they said, hasn't been used in 13 years) and then rented and saw a Movie called "Children of Heaven." it was a lil boring but was artistic. I think it paints an interesting picture of Iranian life. It makes me think of N.V.M. Gonzalez's "A Season of Grace." Almost pointless but still interesting in some respects.
Also as interesting was how hard we thought of what movie to see. They had to make sure that there wasn't any raunchy scene in it.
As usual, I just kept my mouth shut.
